As we head into a new year with resolutions fresh on our mind, Ann's yearly mantra/resolution/promise is to ALWAYS be the navigator of her life. Luck or ‘breaks’ have nothing to do with our own personal success! Instead, it is our own vision, conviction and courage that allows preparation and opportunity to intersect with undeniable results.

Why be satisfied with a glass half full when it should be spilling over!! Ann will talk about the steps to boldly venture out of our comfort zones to courageously create our own good fortunes!

Ann Schatz is widely known and regarded as an accomplished sports broadcaster, speaker and entrepreneur.  With a sports broadcasting career spanning over two decades, Ann's imprint on national and international broadcasting is impressive.  Ann has provided live coverage for top competitions and venues across the globe including the NBA Championships, the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Boston Marathon, NCAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments and the US Women's Open Golf Championship.  Throughout her broadcasting career Ann has had access to the world's top athletes, coaches and sport companies; including Lance Armstrong, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Mia Ham, Nike and adidas.

Ann graduated cum laude in 1979 from Creighton University, with a BA in Journalism/Mass Communications.  She entered the Portland media market in 1989 as the first female sportscaster on KOIN, Portland's CBS affiliate.  She stayed with KOIN for nine years, before venturing out on her own as a freelance sports broadcaster and producer.  In collaboration with a small group of creative broadcasting talent, she founded Emma Productions, which focused on providing video production services for clients such as Nike and adidas.  In 1999 she joined the Blazer broadcasting team to work as a sideline reporter, video feature writer and producer and in 2004 she was a radio color analyst for a few games, becoming only the second female in NBA history to work in that capacity!

In 2004, Ann began working as a play by play and color analyst for College Sports Television (CSTV) an CBS cable affiliate.  In hery current capacity she covers women’s soccer, basketball and softball games across the country.  When she is not working on air, Ann has begun branching into her other area of passion, motivational speaking, through her company Momentum Media & Communications.
