Recent northwest resident and purveyor of best of the northwest style -- Nicole and SagaCity Media have exploded into the Portland and Seattle markets!

We are all faced with moments when life makes its own decisions for us. Just such a moment came for Nicole and her brother Scott, in early 2001. Having had highly successful careers at CNN (Nicole) and the NY Times (Scott), both joined their sister in Portland for moral support in a time of tragedy. Would they be forced to give up their promising careers in media now being in the smallest city any of them had ever lived in? This is truly a story of necessity being the mother of invention and making lemonade out of lemons. Three and an half years later SagaCity Media has six magazines and the two biggest city magazines in the northwest, Portland Monthly and Seattle Metropolitan.

Among other accolades in 2006, Portland Monthly was named best regional magazine in the country and Nicole was named one of the 40 most influential in magazine publishing by Folio magazine. Just recently, SPJ (Society of Professional Journalism) Washington awarded Seattle Metropolitan with twenty-seven 2007 awards. (a record setting 16 first & second place finishes).

Raising capital in the worst of economic times, launching a magazine in Portland after 13 tried and failed, launching a new magazine in the crowded Seattle magazine marketplace, all the while helping in the healing process surrounding shattered dreams. Learn why she feels now, at 38, she is blessed by having had it all occur.

Join us in Kirkland, WA on June 19, in Seattle, WA on June 20, and in Portland on June 26!
